Our Mission & Testing Methodology
Empowering website creators with unfiltered, automated hosting performance data.
How We Test Web Hosts (The 4-Pillar Standard)
Most hosting review websites simply rewrite marketing copy or aggregate trustpilot stars without ever touching a server terminal. At WebHostRater, we operate a live testing sandbox deployed across 45 nodes worldwide.
Standardized Workload
On every host, we install a clean WordPress instance with Astra Theme, 10 published posts with high-res images, and an active WooCommerce product catalog. No artificial server-side tweaks.
Continuous Uptime Tracking
Independent monitoring agents ping each server every 60 seconds from New York, Dallas, London, and Frankfurt to record outages down to the microsecond.
Simulated Concurrency
We execute k6 and Locust load-testing scripts sending 50 concurrent virtual users to detect server throttling, PHP memory spikes, and CPU bottlenecks.
Real Human Help
We submit tricky technical requests (e.g. SSL renewal failures, PHP 8.3 version switching, htaccess syntax errors) at 2:00 AM on Sunday to test live chat response quality.
